Obituario Y Calaveras
A mid-year project centering around Dia De Los Muertos. A holiday about celebrating the live that the dead lived. Personally, I don't celebrate it, but the concept stands sturdy in the lives of many I know. The obituario required us to write about someone important to us who has passed. I chose Robin Williams, as I look up to him as a perfect voice actor. The calavera was a task for us to write a wit about skeletons and the dead and accompany it with a drawing. I depicted my skeleton being hit with a large log to demonstrate, that while they may be immune to flesh wounds, blunt force reigns supreme. Honestly this is the best work I've ever put into a language class, in part I was driven to be better than my, well, less than active classmates. Overall, I'm proud of what I've made. |
The Receta project had us tasked with creating our own takes or recreating recipes from the internet with some kind of Spanish/Latin/etc... connections. For mine I chose Pinchitos, a meat based appetizer, that I am quite fond of. Perhaps my work is not my best but seeing as how this is the last piece of graded work we will be doing, I've been comfortable enough with Spanish class that I can take a small break here
